Leadership Development Program – Plan and implements RECSA’s Leadership Development Program for up to 25 high-potential, real estate industry applicants under the age of 40.  In addition to providing overall guidance for the Program, each committee member (working with 2-3 other committee members) is responsible for a program segment.  The goal of the program is two-fold: (1) to provide a concentrated exposure to San Antonio real estate, politics and the people and events that shape or affect the industry; and (2) developing the leadership skills and potential of individuals whom we expect to include our industry’s and the community’s future leaders.  As with other leadership programs, there also is the side benefit of an extended networking forum for the participants (and committee members!).  The committee will manage the process to select applicants, including adopting selection criteria and evaluating applicants.   Program events are expected to include, but aren’t limited to, (a) a forum with recognized industry leaders to discuss the real estate business; (b) meetings with key elected officials and City Staff; (c) programs on key community/industry issues such as transportation, water and electricity infrastructure; and (d) a tour of select real estate projects.   The committee will help to define all aspects of the program.  Organizational meetings to begin in second quarter 2007.

Upon arrival to each program, please notify Sylvia Pizzini-Cantu and get your name badge. If running late or will be late, contact Sylvia immediately at 391-8226 (day of or day before).  If you need to miss a program for any reason, you must notify Sylvia prior to the date of the program for approval by the Leadership Development Committee.
