About RECSA

The Real Estate Council of San Antonio is the advocate for owners and professionals in the real estate industry, educating members, influencing action and supporting efforts to ensure a healthy economy and enhanced quality of life in the San Antonio area.

Established in 1991, the Council was formed to provide its members with vision, leadership and initiative in the ever-changing real estate market and economic climate.  The Council currently has 242 member firms with approximately 650 individuals participating as members.

There are three levels of membership: Patron, Corporate and Individual.

As a locally-based organization, all membership dues go toward local issues, initiatives and programs.  At each level, one can benefit from a wide range of services and opportunities for participation:

bulletMembership Meetings

Regular programs which focus on industry-related topics as well as those impacting the San Antonio area and its economy.

bulletCouncil Monitor

Bi-monthly newsletter reporting on important issues affecting the industry, announcing upcoming events and reviewing Council activities.

bulletCouncil Alert

Periodic requests for specific action by Council members on critical issues.

bulletCommittee Participation
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the organization.  Members are given the opportunity to participate in the standing committees:  Program, Membership, Community Relations, Government Affairs, Communications, Education and Leadership Development.

bulletMCE Credit Opportunities

As a new service to members, the Real Estate Council has qualified to become a licensed provider of MCE courses. The Education Committee is working toward having 15 hours of meeting every two years in order to satisfy current requirements. Efforts are being made for the Council to become a CLE provider as well.
